Create On-demand backup in DynamoDB
DynamoDB provides on-demand backup capability. It allows you to create full backups of your tables for long-term retention and archival for regulatory compliance needs. Default Settings and Customise Settings are the 2 types of backups settings.
1.Default Settings
It have the default settings for your backup your table. see the screenshot below…
2. Customize Settings
It have AWS Backup and DynamoDB as backup management. If you choose DynamoDB Backup then you will have features like encryption,ARN.
If you choose AWS Backup then you will have features like encryption, ARN, cross-region, cross-account, storage type, schedule backup, Retention period, and IAM role etc.
You can specify the Backup time range that start from 1 hour and complete within 7 days. Also you may create the backup now.
You may specify the time range for how long you keep your data in warm storage. The time range in never, days, weeks, months, and years.
You can set the retention period for your data in days, weeks, months, and years.
If you choose AWS Backup (or) DynamoDB Backup as a backup management, you can view the backup in dynamoDB backup console.
